SEED is a social enterprise of SANDBAG Inc and has been operating for over a decade in the Sandgate and Bracken Ridge area, and now have clients throughout Brisbane North and Moreton Bay Region.
SANDBAG is a community-based non-profit organisation that exists to strengthen our community and ensure opportunity for all.
From humble beginnings, this commercial initiative of SANDBAG has grown to secure contracts with Queensland State Government, Brisbane City Council, Blue Care, All About Living, Co.As.It, BRIC Housing, and many more, providing employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged people in the community, supporting them to up-skill and gain meaningful employment.
SEED’s purpose is to offer pathways to employment in a supportive environment, whilst delivering high quality commercial services. Working in partnership with our customers and community, we aim to be one of the major social procurement providers in the South East Queensland region.
All surplus generated through SEED is reinvested into developing more transitional employment opportunities, and into vital community programs such as free domestic violence counselling, referral and drop-in support at our Sandgate Community Centre, food programs and a safe place for vulnerable members of our community.
